Corporate Information Systems Limited have documented the processes necessary to conduct the business of an Insurance Intermediary. The main processes included include sections on:
- New Business
- Creating quotations
- Renewals
- New Claims
- Account reconcilliations
- Change of circumstances (e.g. change of address)
- Handling complaints
The procedures are integrated with the FSA regulations to show how your business should operate in order to be compliant. The manual has been developed in PROTOS and is delivered in read-only format (HTML) on a cd that can be viewed in a web browser. As such one copy can be made available for reading online by all your staff simultaneously. You can see which processes satisfy which regulation, and ensure that all regulations are being met within the business.
To be compliant with regulation means the things you do must be in accordance w ith the rules of the Regulator. For insurance intermediaries this means the FSA. The FSA have published these rules as ICOB’s as extensions to their Handbook. They are detailed as both rules and guidelines. The addition of CASS (for the handling of client’s money) and the implications of DISP (for disputes and complaints handling) are particularly important.
The manual is delivered on a CD-ROM with all the processes linked to the regulations. As an option, where you would like to have the processes personalised with your own documents and roles, these can be integrated by one of our consultants for you. Alternatively some customers are opting to purchase the manual with Protos, so that the manual can be maintained in-house.
The link below is to a part of the manual which shows the process for complaints handling, and integrates to the DISP. We can not supply these or provide a demonstration if you don't contact us, so if you would like more information or a quotation regarding the procedures manual, contact us via the e-mail link.
